Poster Sessions and Presenters
Dear Poster Authors and Replacement Authors,
This is last update (October, 2005) to the Author’s link and includes
important conference information.
REGISTRATION
All presenting authors for both concurrent sessions
and poster sessions must be fully registered for the conference.
Poster presenters must present a registration badge in order to
receive instructions on the poster displays as well as their poster
location and number.
It is highly recommended that you pre register to bypass any extended
waits at the registration area.

Poster Presentation and Display
Poster Viewing: Be in position with on your designated
date and time at least 15 minutes in advance of the published viewing
time. Posters will remain on display throughout the entire meeting.
Successful poster presentations are those that achieve both coverage
and clarity. The Congress poster sessions will provide a more intimate
forum of exchange, facilitating informal discussions between authors
and the attendees. Ideally, authors will stand by their well-constructed
poster and answer questions with the focus on the verbal exchange
between author and attendee.
At The Conference: Poster Oral Presentations Instructions
Poster presenters must present a registration badge
in order to receive instructions on the poster displays as well
as their poster location and number.
Assembly of the posters will open on Friday, October 14 at 1:00
p.m. ; no earlier access is available. Location is on the 3rd Floor,
Essex Ballroom and Staffordshire Room (same level as registration).
Lunch
Light Lunch Fare will be provided during the Poster
Sessions on Sunday and Monday. Lunch fare will NOT be provided on
Saturday or Tuesday. Food and beverages will NOT be provided during
general poster viewing hours.
Guidelines and Instructions: WCPG 2005 Posters
Successful poster presentations are those that achieve
both coverage and clarity. The Congress poster sessions will provide
a more intimate forum of exchange, facilitating informal discussions
between authors and the attendees. Ideally, a well-constructed poster
will be self-explanatory and free the author from answering obvious
questions so that the focus is on the discussion between author
and attendee.
- Poster size is a 1m high and 1.5m wide. Please adhere to these
size restrictions as this allows for the maximum number of posters,
as well as continuous display throughout the conference.
- At registration, you will be provided with instructions on
your poster location, as well as a number to mount with the poster.
The number will be on a 4” x 4” sized card with large writing
1. Poster installation is on Friday, October 14 from 3 p.m. –
9:00 p.
2. Posters should be mounted on the assigned board as early as
possible and for the duration of the meeting.
- We recommend that you prepare the following labels with lettering
in bold, visible and 1” high (minimally) indicating:
1. the title of your paper
2. the author(s) for the top of your poster space
- A copy of your abstract (250 words or less), in large typescript,
should be posted in the upper left-hand corner of the poster board.
- Please do not mount illustrations on heavy board because these
may be difficult to keep in position on the poster board. The
poster board is a bulletin board, and the posters will be adhered
with thumbtacks.
- Your illustration may be viewed at distances as far as 3 feet
or more. We recommend that lettering should be at least 3/8 inches
high, preferably in a typed and easy to read bold font.
- Poster Viewing; Be in position with on your designated date
and time at least 15 minutes in advance of the published viewing
time.
- Bring at least 50 copies of your paper with you for distribution
on paper or DVD. Label this information clearly. On-site reproduction
will NOT be available.
